برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی شامل مجموعه ای از فنون، روش ها و شیوه هایی است که با بکاربردن آن ها می توان تغییرات مورد دلخواه را در الگوهای رفتاری انسان ها ایجاد کرد. همچنان که آن ترکیبی از اصول و قواعدی است که با تکیه به آن ها می توان الگوهای رفتاری انسان ها را مورد تحلیل قرار داد.
برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی بر اساس قواعدی بنا شده است که، نه به خود رفتارها آن طوری که بروز می کنند، بلکه به ساختار آن توجه دارد. در واقع برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی معتقد است که این ساختارهای موجود هستند که الگوهای رفتاری را مشخص و تعیین می کنند.
بر اساس این قاعده، این دانش راه هایی را عرضه می کند که با توسل به آن ها می توان به نیروهایی که پشت یک رفتار است پی برد، اینکه چگونه عده ای در انجام کاری موفق هستند در حالیکه عده ای دیگر در انجام همان کار نا موفق و نا کارآمد می باشند.
برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی حوزه عمل خود را به شناخت الگوهای رفتاری محدود نمی کند، بلکه نقطه قوت و مزیت این دانش در الگوسازی و مدل سازی است، الگوها و مدل هایی که با بکاربردن آن ها توانمندی و توانایی هر انسانی را افزایش می دهد.
برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی الگوی زندگی انسان های برجسته و موفق را مورد مطالعه قرار می دهد: اینکه چگونه آنان می توانند در زندگی خصوصی، کاری و حرفه ای خود به موفقیت های چشم گیری نائل آیند. این دانش، با الگوبرداری و مدل سازی از این افراد به دنبال انتقال ساختارهای فکری، رفتاری، باورها، ارزش ها و بطور کل چارچوب موفقیت آنان به افراد دیگر می باشد تا دیگران نیز با بهره مندی از همین الگوها و مدل ها به نتایج مشابه دست یابند.
اساس برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی شناخت تجربه درونی و ذهنی انسان است، اینکه او چگونه فکر می کنند، چگونه باورها و ارزش هایی را در خود ایجاد می کند و معنای خاصی به تجربه های درونی خود می دهد. برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی تجربه درونی را مطالعه می کند.
همچنین، برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی الگوی رفتاری موفق ترین افراد را در حوزه ارتباطات انسانی مورد مطالعه قرار می دهد.. در نتیجه این مطالعات و تجارب، برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی مجموعه ای از روش ها، ابزار و فنونی را در برمی گیرد که می تواند در حوزه های متنوع و گوناگونی چون آموزش، ورزش، تجارت، حقوق، پزشکی، فروش، مذاکرات، مدیریت مورد استفاده قرار گیرد.
الگوهای برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی همچنین در زندگی کاری و حرفه ای به حوزه فعالیت های شرکت ها، نهادها و سازمان ها انتقال یافته است و تعداد این گونه نهادها که از روش ها و فنون برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی جهت پیشرفت، بهینه سازی و افزایش کاربرد آنان استفاده می کنند افزایش یافته است.
برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی، بیش از آنکه مجموعه ای از فنون و تکنیک ها باشد، روش تفکر انسان ها است، چارچوب ذهنی که می تواند با روحیه کنجکاوی، نوآوری و توانمند سازی، راه های نو را در مسیر حرکت به سوی جلو کشف کند.
برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی از سه حرف اول عبارت انگلیسی (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) گرفته شده و در فارسی با عنوان اختصاری آن “ان ال پی” نیز نامیده می شود.
برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی در وهله اول با سیستم عصبی و ذهن سروکار دارد. به همین دلیل بخش اعظم دانش برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی شامل فهم و استفاده از اصول الگوهای سیستم عصبی می شود و بر همین اساس، تفکر، یادگیری، خلاقیت، تصمیم گیری و سایر فرایندهای شناختی نتیجه کنش و واکنش هایی است که در درون سیستم عصبی، یعنی ذهن، انجام می پذیرد. تجربه انسان آمیخته یا براینده اطلاعات درونی و بیرونی است که ما در ذهن خود آن ها را پالایش می کنیم. این تجارب دارای ساختاری به صورت تصویر، صدا، حس و نیز به صورت حس بویایی و چشایی در ذهن می باشد.
برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی شامل زبان و نحوه ارتباط از طریق زبان را نیز می شود. از دید این دانش، زبان به گونه ای محصول سیستم عصبی است، در عین حال که زبان به طور فعال کاربردهای سیستم عصبی را شکل می دهد. زبان نحوه ارتباط ما با دیگران را مشخص می کند. بنابراین، برقراری ارتباط موثر و تعامل با دیگران بستگی به چگونگی بکاربردن زبان، چگونگی.بیان مفاهیم، افکار، نظرات از طریق زبان در وضعیت های مختلف دارد.
همچنین برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی شامل برنامه ریزی است و آن بر این اصل استوار است که فرایند آموختن، فکر کردن، حفظ کردن، خلاقیت و دیگر فعالیت های انسانی ناشی از برنامه هایی است که در ذهن او است و همین برنامه ها هستند که فعالیت ها، کنش ها و اکنش های او را مشخص می کنند. این بدان معنا است که رفتار و تعاملات انسان با محیط اطراف از طریق همین برنامه های ذهنی اوست. بنابراین، واکنش او در مواجه با مسائل و مشکلات زندگی بستگی به برنامه هایی دارد که در ذهن اوست. برخی از این برنامه ها ممکن است کارایی داشته و موثر عمل کنند و برخی دیگر ناکارآمد و غیر موثر باشند. برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی به دنبال شناسایی برنامه های ناکارآمد و منفی نیز هست تا آنان را اصلاح و برطرف نماید.
تکنیک های برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی در حال حاضر به طور بسیار گسترده ای در مطالعه چگونگی عملکرد ذهن، چگونگی اثرگذاری و نفوذ بر دیگران، نحوه بکار بردن زبان، مهارت های برقراری ارتباط موثر، تغییر الگوهای رفتاری خود و دیگران، چگونگی فراگیری و یادگیری، مذاکرات و بسیاری از زمینه های دیگر قابل اجرا است.

اهمیت مدل سازی در برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی
بیشتر تکنیک ها و روش های برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی از فرایندی موسوم به  “مدل سازی”  نشات می گیرد. در واقع اولین رویکرد این دانش مرتبط با مدل سازی بوده است، یعنی زمانی که بنیان گذاران آن در حال کشف تکنیک های  برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی بودند، مدل سازی نیت و هدف اصلی آنان بود. هدف آنان کشف چگونگی بکاربردن روش هایی بوده است که از سوی برخی از انسان های موفق در حوزه های مختلف بکار برده می شدند.

برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی حتی از توانایی و مهارت هر فردی در یک حوزه مدل سازی می کند تا همان الگو را برای همان فرد که در زمینه دیگر ناتوان است بکاربرد و با پیاده کردن این الگوی جدید به جای الگوی رفتاری قدیم توانمندی به او می بخشد. مانند این است که یک برنامه ای مولد و مفید را از یک قسمت گرفته و آنرا در قسمت دیگر پیاده کنید. در واقع تکنیک ها و روش های برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی قدرت این را دارند تا فرد را برنامه ریزی مجدد کند و وی را از یک فرد ناتوان به یک فرد توانمند تبدیل کند.

ماهیت کاربردی برنامه ریزی عصبی – زبانی
